 As a Cenzic employee I got out of my usual work routine this week by volunteering at the non-profit organization, RAFT (Resource Area for Teaching) in Sunnyvale, CA.
RAFT provides hands-on activity kits and inexpensive materials to enrich pre K-12 education programs. Teachers can purchase these low-cost items to help augment their curriculum and provide creative ways to make learning fun for their students. It was amazing to see the amount of materials donated to RAFT – we spent hours taking apart CD holders, tearing sheets of stickers, and making small bags of beads from the massive bulk shipments. The hours flew by and it was a very rewarding experience. I just posted photos of us on the Cenzic Facebook Fan Page -- check them out. So ask your company if they sponsor socially responsible events like this one. It’s a great way to bond with your coworkers and do something good for your community at the same time.
